Why HN links it

HN commenters link Matthias Monroy's German-language posts on tracking and surveillance, such as corona contact-tracing apps. One comment links a post on a German trial case, and another offers an English source for a point.

What Hacker News says?

  1. Here is an English source I could find: https://digit.site36.net/2022/01/22/tracking-corona-infectio... There are two prominent apps in Germany. The other one is indeed secure against such attempts because it is technically not possible to get the information. I wouldn't even accuse the investigators here, it just shows that if there is a possibility for tracking, that it will be used. For better or worse reasons.

  3. I was trying to understand what this is about, and this seems to have more context https://digit.site36.net/2025/09/09/first-german-trial-on-th... But yeah to me it seems these "antifaschistisch orgs" acting like thugs and then thinking they're immune to prosecution because they're antifaschistisch (according to themselves) of course
