What Hacker News says?

  1. There are plenty of low end providers that support IPv6 only. At that scale price of IPv4 is the highest cost of the VPS. Here is a list of providers I created back in 2022. https://blog.miyuru.lk/ipv6-hosting-2022/

  3. > EC2 pulls down the AMI to EBS from S3 so theoretically smaller AMIs might be faster I managed to create a 1GB AMI of debian. Will be interesting to test this. https://blog.miyuru.lk/aws-root-volume/

  5. EDNS makes a huge difference as many CDNS still use it. Here is a test I did 4 years back. https://blog.miyuru.lk/edns-geo-table-2019/ I have a tinfoil-hat theory that CF removed EDNS support to make other CDNs slow and make their own CDN look good, but if there's a CF POP nearby it does not make much difference.

  6. tip about ghcr.io, you only need to add NAT to the docker endpoint, their blob endpoint have v6. I have blog about that, if you are interested: https://blog.miyuru.lk/ipv6-docker-registries-2025/#github-c...
