Too few sampled comments (4) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
Netskope's company site, linked for its product pages, blog and resources. Comments cite a post on glitch-hosted phishing, a cloud app audit page, and a solutions page on intercepting employee laptop traffic.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 4 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

What Hacker News says?
Netskope has an awfully big list of customers ( https://www.netskope.com/customers ) despite having a product that is absolute crap for the end users. I cannot imagine why any executive worth their salt would decide to purchase it without some form of incentive.

HN discussionThese used to be a highlight of the year, but this year's kinda falls flat. Even some of the stats are absurd: "94% of all cloud apps are not enterprise-ready per Netskope" (p190) What does that even mean? Apparently that you should pay Netskope lots of money to fix that right up for you: https://www.netskope.com/resources/netskope-cci-audit/

HN discussionSince sibling commenters asked—the abuse mainly involved a heckuva lot of phishing, last I heard; for example: https://threatpost.com/spear-phishing-exploits-glitch-steal-... https://www.netskope.com/blog/glitch-hosted-phishing-uses-te... Apparently the free ephemeral apps were (1) free, (2) easy to make and easy to make many of, and (3) hosted on infrastructure that targets tended to trust.
