  7. Very interesting aspect of color management which I never paid attention to. I wrote a simple primer on color profiles [1] a while back which makes mention of state of custom color profiles on the web. I do wonder what result you'd get if you blended images with different color profiles on a web page as browsers can view non sRGB based image content. 9. You can easily use an inverter to go from 12v to 110V/240V and just use the stock adapter. Alternatively, you can get your hands dirty and do what I did [1]. However, I'm fairly certain that the non-maritime accounts won't be able to use the service on water (most likely geofenced) so that Starlink can sell their maritime version. 11. I wrote about non secure contact pages of various banks in Australia back in 2014 [1] and sent them all private messages. Didn't hear back from a single one saying they were working on it. Haven't checked lately to see how or if they changed. [1]: https://blog.oxplot.com/non-secure-contact-page/

  13. Nice! I took Starlink with me on few road trips so far with my Model 3 and rigged it up to work off my car's battery. I did have to change my service address prior to arriving at new locations but it worked fine nonetheless. With the new roaming option, that's even easier now. I wrote about it on my blog for those interested: https://blog.oxplot.com/powering-starlink-on-the-go-with-tes...

  17. Awesome. I've already started doing my own move to all things USB-C by making a custom made board [1] (which is also for sale [2]). I have so far converted 10 devices at home and gotten rid of their bulky bricks. 19. > What people have been asking for is an RV/camping/sailing Starlink they can use moving, and that product has yet to materialize. What people? You? Most people want usable Internet at home. Also, you can use a Starlink on the move just fine, just like I did. Keep changing your service location before you arrive. Takes a second, there are no limits (that I have found). https://blog.oxplot.com/powering-starlink-on-th…

  27. I've been blogging since 2008 [1]. I think blogs are the least 3rd party reliant outlets for personal/pro content. As long as you can keep your domain, you have control over how, where and when your content is accessible. You control your URLs, whether you want ads or not, layout, etc. Simple web pages (as opposed to walled gardens of social networks) are search engines' best friends. As for mine, I actually wrote a…

  29. Article author here — just to clarify a couple of points. Firstly, it appears a few people have not actually went through and read what I wrote and suggested, well pretty much the same thing I suggested on the article! If you can get away with 5V, I link to 6p connectors that are indeed very easy to use, and even provided links to my own projects [1] using them! Please, have a read of the article, maybe there is som…
