HN discussionLikewise I've recently gotten back into RSS - thanks to this new breed of RSS readers (feedbin and others) that also let you subscribe to email newsletters. So handy to get that clutter out of my inbox. Wrote a bit about this recently: https://paulstamatiou.com/hello-rss/

HN discussionThe moment I saw the domain name I remembered having visited it more than once after reading the initial piece "Simplify". I visited that particular post many times, but also really, really enjoyed your photos and the way you presented them. Was nice to revisit your site after quite some hiatus again. And thanks again for "Simplify". Edit: Just the speed your image galleries load and the way you scroll trigger the v…

HN discussionGreat post -- As a newly diehard Android user, I will agree that while Android is definitely getting some amazing and beautiful apps, it's nothing like on the App Store. If you spend the time to design a beautiful app, there is a larger opportunity for you to unseat very popular Android apps. Android users crave great design too. Start building. http://paulstamatiou.com/android-is-better

HN discussionI'm curious whether you can actually import RAW photos into this iPad. According to [1], importing huge (42 Megapixel) RAW files into the last gen iPad Pro was pretty much unusable. I can definitely see myself making this my travel laptop, replacing my 2013 Macbook Air if I could connect my camera, import all of my photos for the day, maybe do some light editing and then export them to an external hard drive. HN discussionSee: https://paulstamatiou.com/review-att-3g-microcell "After giving the MicroCell some power and ethernet, it will start blinking the 3G and GPS LEDs. Wait, what.. GPS? Yep. To limit the MicroCell from working outside of test markets (or out of the country too), it must get a GPS lock on your location. AT&T suggests this should take no longer than 90 minutes. It took me about 5 hours." And this was the fundamental…
