Why HN links it
Only one comment links this blog, in a thread on an open salary and equity database. It cites a different salary analysis and does not discuss this blog's writing.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 1 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

What Hacker News says?
I really like FastAPI. The "fast" in the name means fast development. Using Python types to create endpoints and get auto-generated docs is a joy. If you are looking for examples, feel free to check out mine with websockets [0] or how I run FastAPI with systemd and nginx [1] in production (I run several side projects on FastAPI). HN discussionThere are a lot of ways to look at it. I think [1] is one of the better attempts and would suggest that the spread is much bigger for average jobs than for the highest paying positions, and that e.g. Scala, Rust, Perl or Go will earn you more money than Dart, JavaScript, PHP or Java. Also apparently jobs with DynamoDB pay almost twice as good on average (median) as jobs with Firebase; and Postgres or MSSQL pays bett…

HN discussionI guess that SCRUM should have not been adopted as a mainstream/default agile process. I think that SCRUM can work for some teams, but it should be a niche in the world of agile development. The problem is that people take it as a "best agile practice/process for every team". That is IMHO the biggest issue here. I wrote an article about my experiences with SCRUM which I named "Why SCRUM doesn't work" :-) You can rea…

HN discussionMaybe a better way to attack this problem is to watch Harvard's Introduction to AI course (or similar one) and from there pick an area that piqued your interest. This is because AI is such a vast field that nobody can learn everything (on top of data processing etc.). I made some notes from the ^ course + listed relevant Python libraries to have a good place to start: https://stribny.name/blog/2020/10/artificial-int…

HN discussionI don't know these courses and I am not sure if anyone can help you without being more specific about what you want to achieve or how much you know already. However I can recommend you CS50's Introduction to Artificial Intelligence with Python 2020 [0]. I made some notes from the course if you are interested here [1].
