What Hacker News says?
Hello everyone, co-creator of Feedle here. Thank you so much for letting the world know about our tiny side project! While I tred answering some of people's pressing questions on this thread, I think they deserved a more thorough explanation, so I wrote a blog post instead: https://preslav.me/2024/03/25/feedle-on-the-hacker-news-fron... Beweare, it's a bit lengthy, but hopefully, it would address some of your concer…

HN discussionI think the recent popularity of Obsidian, Roam and Logseq has something to do with it. People enjoy the power wikilinks have and love sharing their knowledge graphs[0]. [0] https://preslav.me/2022/09/01/logseq-come-for-the-graph-stay...

HN discussionMy best takeaway from this post: > The friction of building personal apps has always been so high that as users we accepted the ads, the trackers, the dark patterns, and the constant upsells. > The friction is just not there anymore. You can build a personal app that has the exact subset of features you want, that is clean, fast, and respects your privacy, in a matter of hours. https://preslav.me/2026/04/03/the-fric…

HN discussionRegarding the “iota dance,” I wrote my 2 cents on what could be a slightly more robust approach a couple of days ago: https://preslav.me/2023/03/17/create-robust-enums-in-golang/ P.S generic type sets make it even better. I’ll write an update to my post these days.

HN discussionIn preparation for my upcoming book: https://preslav.me/generative-art-in-golang/ I have built this simple proof-of concept. The idea was to grab one of my sketch generators and export it to WASM, for use inside a Web browser. Does it work? Kind of. Is it practical? Not really sure. While it does work, there are a few challenges that make it a second-tier solution, in my view. I’ll discuss all those in my book.
