QueueMetrics Blog is the company blog at queuemetrics.com, writing about programming and systems. Since 2014, 5 different Hacker News readers have linked it 35 times. It is still writing: the last post was on 2026-10-26, and you can follow it by feed.
Too few sampled comments (1) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
HN readers link QueueMetrics in a VoIP thread, where one commenter promotes its cloud reporting for Asterisk and FreeSwitch call queues. The comment does not discuss the blog's writing.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 1 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.
Queue monitoring software for Asterisk, FreePBX, Yeastar and Grandstream, agent productivity, ACD, IVR, MoH, inbound and outbound calls, realtime view and reports.
What Hacker News says?
I created a short step-by-step blog post, with images, about a solution that worked for us because people started contacting our support. I think I can share it here: https://www.queuemetrics.com/blog/2022/01/13/firefox-stopped...

HN discussionRewriting the Elixir parser for QueueMetrics live for Teams, my company's service to keep track of call and queue statistics for Microsoft Teams telephony, in a way that's better than the PowerBI examples that come in the box. It's at https://www.queuemetrics.com/teams.jsp?lid=H990 It's quite a mess as we have to aggregate multiple data sources that come with their own timing and sequence issues - plus we are seeing…

HN discussionI'm not sure, I just see it happen. To put things in context, our small claim to fame is anyway getting some aggregate data about lost calls and attempts that is not possible to produce in Power BI directly[1]. So it's likely that they would buy or not buy it even if it was based on Power BI itself. [1] https://www.queuemetrics.com/teams.jsp

HN discussionA queue shines when it can distribute incoming calls based on it knowing agent availability. (Shameless plug: the company I work for does cloud reporting [1] for Asterisk and FreeSwitch queues - that is then whitelabelled and sold by a lot of big name telcos worldwide. Not sexy but effective!) [1] https://www.queuemetrics.com
