Why HN links it
HN readers link raby.sh posts on low-level systems topics: writing a PID 1 init in Go under QEMU, why SIGTERM is ignored for PID 1 in containers, and installing NetBSD or OpenBSD over SSH.

What Hacker News says?
Another "interesting" related thing I found is that pid 1 signals are handled differently in the kernel. Basically, SIGTERM is ignored and you need to explicitly handle it in your program. Took me quite a while before I found out why my program in a container didn't quit gracefully... https://raby.sh/sigterm-and-pid-1-why-does-a-container-linge...

HN discussionOfftopic: OpenBSD has an installation ramdisk. Just boot that. See https://raby.sh/installing-openbsd-on-ovhs-vps-2016-kvm-mach... I've also seen "dd if=path/to/install/ramdisk /dev/sd0" and reboot; depends on being classic BIOS not uefi. Can't find the link tho.
