RemObjects Software Blog is the company blog at blogs.remobjects.com, writing about programming. Since 2010, 9 different Hacker News readers have linked it 28 times, most often “Mixing Languages: an inside look at how Elements handles five languages at once”. It is still writing: the last post was on 2026-10-28, and you can follow it by feed.
Too few sampled comments (4) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
HN commenters cite these posts on compiler floating-point and bit-level optimisation, AVX2 emulation on Windows ARM, and the session data of an AI agent for Delphi, mostly when discussing amd64 microarchitecture levels.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 4 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

What Hacker News says?
My daily driver is a M2 Mac, and we added the same set of optimisations to ARM on Mac as we did to ARM Windows (at the same time as Intel Windows we measured emulation of in this blog.) More info: https://blogs.remobjects.com/2026/01/26/fast-math-in-six-lan... We did not try to especially optimise Intel Mac, but it's very tempting to do so in order to look at it as you ask. I wish Rosetta was open sourced too. Same…

HN discussionWe released CodeBot, which is an AI agent specifically for Delphi, yesterday.[0] So not widely applicable (yet) for most readers. However, we've been pretty open with its data. I hadn't realised reading this how many problematic practices are common which we have not done. The full session data is streamed to the client. This is intended to re-populate a session if it's discarded by the server, but 'full' means full…

HN discussionI wish articles like this were posted on blogs, not on twitter. However, the summary at the end roughly aligns with my understanding: v2 or better, v3 is worthwhile. A while ago I did a bunch of work for our compiler[0], one post of which got a decent amount of HN attention[1]. Same answers: use v2 and v3. Our posts focused on floating point, but this one does not: it focuses on bit-related instructions. So I see an…

HN discussionThis measurement is very focused on bit-related instructions. A few months ago we did some work on our (RemObjects) toolchain, and it showed very similar results, where our published benchmarks were for floating point.[0] I did some rough internal measurements showing the same for integer-related instructions too. The same conclusion: v2 as baseline, v3 where possible. I'm really surprised it's not standard in every…
