Why HN links it
HN readers link this blog's 2013 post on the Raspberry Pi, where the VideoCore GPU rather than the ARM CPU is the main processor. It is cited as background for hardware and boot discussions.

What Hacker News says?
Your Raspberry Pi already does :) https://thekandyancode.wordpress.com/2013/09/21/how-the-rasp... More seriously, there's probably something to this from a motherboard design perspective, there's enough general purpose compute on a modern graphics card to do the initial bootloader stuff. But graphics cards are not standardized as much as CPUs are, so it's unclear if it would work as we've currently designed systems.

HN discussionOn Raspberry "GPU" (VideoCore processor) is the main processor. ARM CPU is secondary in some sense. Here's a good overview: https://thekandyancode.wordpress.com/2013/09/21/how-the-rasp... https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/a/10595
