Why HN links it
Linked in a thread on whether GenAI improves developer productivity as a readable alternative to a PDF study. The commenter says the PDF itself says little, and the post is about AI coding assistants and developer productivity.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 1 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

What Hacker News says?
Here's a blog post for those who don't want to grab the PDF: https://shenisha.substack.com/p/are-ai-coding-assistants-rea... Unfortunately, the PDF itself doesn't say much, so I'd take it with half a grain of salt. But I would also take GitHub's comments about Copilot with a grain of salt, despite liking it as a customer of the product.
