What Hacker News says?

  1. The trials process is the moat. There's already founders using AI to treat their cancers, and it's all about skipping trials and jumping straight to "I consent, I'll fund it, let's try it". The general public might get access to this in 10 years, but employees at AI companies will have access much much sooner. https://sytse.com/cancer/

  9. A good idea. Also non-trivial to do, which would give a moat if executed well. Btw. This seems to be a more readable version of the URL, one that you posted linked to git commit https://sytse.com/2016/12/28/adyen-for-payrolling.html

  10. For sure that is a big problem. I blogged about it in 2016 https://sytse.com/2016/12/28/adyen-for-payrolling.html and I'm excited to be an investor in Remote.com that tries to solve that problem. It is started by our old VP of Product Job van der Voort.

  11. Good insight about the functions of a web front-end. I totally agree. And I think the first two are a priority before slapping features on top. Gitlab is build on top of Gitolite so setting granular permissions should be doable. I worry that the combination of groups and branch settings will be hard to maintain unless you name your branches consistently. I'm very interested in talking to you to learn from your think…

  12. It's great to see money made in one of the few remaining unregulated fields like math and software applied to problems in the heavily regulated healthcare industry. There is an asymmetry in healthcare innovation that nobody ever got fired for blocking a good thing, but you can lose your job for approving a bad one. I'm also following the very inspirational journey of the former Gitlab CEO who battles cancer by found…
