What Hacker News says?

  1. That's wild, thanks for sharing. I'd have to imagine it's served as some level of inspiration for Simon Stålenhag's work. Ex: http://www.simonstalenhag.se/bilderbig/by_procession_1920.jp...

  3. Hehe, we'll make our own url.town, with sci-fi art, and hookers! https://www.simonstalenhag.se/ ^ The link is for the sci-fi art, not the hookers.

  5. I had never heard of Mark Fisher, so thanks for sharing. The fact that he admired Burial has certainly piqued my interest and Mark Fishers focus on futures never-to-be really aligns perfectly with my tendency to wallow in SehnSucht often brought on by Boards of Canada or paintings by Simon Stålenhag: https://www.simonstalenhag.se/

Simon Stålenhag does really great work that if not considered retro-futurism proper is something else that doesn't seem to have a name but certainly is at least in a space adjacent to retro-futurism. http://www.simonstalenhag.se/
