Too few sampled comments (6) to say how often HN recommends it.?

Why HN links it

The comments link SubMain's product pages for Visual Studio add-ins, StudioTools and GhostDoc, not blog posts. None of the comments discuss the blog's writing.

What Hacker News says?

  1. For those of you using Visual Studio, there is an addon called StudioTools that adds this functionality: http://submain.com/products/studiotools.aspx Highly recommended, they both have a smart open file that lets you start typing a filename, and smart goto, which lets you start typing a class or method name. Makes navigation so much faster!

  3. To be honest it's not a problem I have, I like to keep my comments short and punchy. If I'm writing war and peace, it will only ever be for the class comment at the top, for some reason I manually do my own line breaks then as I feel it can be used to break up thought and provide emphasis. However, I'm also a GhostDoc fan: http://submain.com/products/ghostdoc.aspx So I appreciate some people consider me to be inhere…

  5. Also, if you're using Visual Studio, you can either get Resharper or the free plugin StudioTools: http://submain.com/products/studiotools.aspx Both add better file/class/method navigation, and I find them invaluable.

  6. If you like Eclipse and miss some of its features in Visual Studio I can really recommend Studio Tools: http://submain.com/products/studiotools.aspx I used to run Resharper when I used Visual Studio 2005, but with 2008 there's much less need for it.

  7. I use a smaller plugin for that called StudioTools: http://submain.com/products/studiotools.aspx And I agree, those features make you so much more productive!

  8. I think this implies that .NET people love them. http://submain.com/products/ghostdoc.aspx Write a function like "getFoo" and it generates that as the description. Similar situation example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPaNRaub8N4#at=40
