Too few sampled comments (2) to say how often HN recommends it.?

Why HN links it

HN readers link Spiral's site for Vortex, a file format, and SpiralDB's distributed SQL engine. Commenters point to its performance claims, though one notes the benchmarks are hard to find.

What Hacker News says?

  1. Thanks, it was behind a "see benchmarks" link at the very bottom of https://spiraldb.com/ . I noticed these claims on both vortex.dev and https://spiraldb.com/vortex website, but both had no hyperlink to any actual metrics.

  3. Check the Vortex file format ( https://vortex.dev/ ), if you are interested in a distributed SQL engine then you can check SpiralDB ( https://spiraldb.com/ ), I haven’t used this one personally but they created Vortex. If you can drop the “distributed” part, then plug DuckDB ( https://duckdb.org/ ) and query Parquet (out of the box) or Vortex ( https://duckdb.org/docs/stable/core_extensions/vortex.html ) with it.
