Company blog · surrealcms.com/blogwebbusiness
Surreal CMS is the company blog at surrealcms.com, writing about web and business. Since 2009, 4 different Hacker News readers have linked it 8 times. No feed was found, so read it on the site itself.
Too few sampled comments (3) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
Commenters link Surreal CMS, a WYSIWYG editor for static sites, as a product they have used or recommend for non-programmer clients. The comments are about the product and its service, not the site's writing.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 3 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

HN discussionI've used Surreal CMS for sites that don't really need a DB as well, it works well, and the service I got when I had a issue was very good. http://surrealcms.com/

HN discussion> I think one big missing part still with static sites is how you host the CMS to edit it. This problem is completely solved by Surreal CMS [1]. Make your website anyway you want, connect surreal by FTP and let the user/client edit what you permit them to edit. The cost $12 per month is dirt cheap for never having to worry about it, and giving non-tech users a total WYSIWYG editor. [1] https://www.surrealcms.com
