Too few sampled comments (2) to say how often HN recommends it.?

Why HN links it

Readers link Swell Type, a type designer's blog, for his font work, including the Avatar font and his commercial typefaces. The comments discuss the fonts rather than the writing.

What Hacker News says?

  1. The sample image [1] of the author shows 'AVATAR' with much less spacing between A and R, which looks much better in my opinion. [1] https://swelltype.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Avatar-samp...

  3. I imagine he's in a hard position. He makes fonts for TV shows / games / etc, and they tend to be silly/weird/unique. He kinda needs to use his own typeface for his blog, and he doesn't have a lot of "sane" options to choose from!
