  1. Nelson Joyce is building Tettra to solve the very problem you're describing Nelson on Twitter - https://twitter.com/nelsonjoyce Tettra - https://tettra.co Edit: I'm not affiliated to him or Tettra in any way. I just follow his Twitter for his transparency and useful insights in building a company. Hence I would happily recommend his product to anyone facing the exact problem

  3. Agreed, I found a screenshot on their about page [1], but that doesn't seem to belong there. Image link: https://tettra.co/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Screen-Shot-201... [1]( https://tettra.co/about/ )

  5. We build a similar type of knowledge sharing tool at my startup, Tettra ( https://tettra.co ). It's not open source and is a paid subscription, but might be worth checking out. We charge because we want to fund ourselves through customer and remain profitable. On a related note, my co-founder, Nelson, saw Michael's original tweet about Home a few weeks ago and reached out to speak with him. Super nice person. Report…

  7. Thought I'd hop in here for everyone who isn't satisfied with Confluence (or think it's the preferred publishing method of the devil). My startup's building wiki software that's targeted at small groups to start who want a team wiki (instead of having to post everything to the entire corporation). The idea is to really focus on making the publishing and discussion experiences delightful. I'd love to chat with anyone…

  9. For us the main indication of impending doom is when we don't hear from you. When we haven't heard from, or about, a startup for a couple months, that's a bad sign. If we send them an email asking what's up, and they don't reply, that's a really bad sign. So far that is a 100% accurate predictor of death. Can someone at YC comment on if this is still a good proxy for startup failure? From a personal perspective, we'…

  15. Does YC use Slack? If so, we just launched Tettra into beta this week. It's a company wiki built on top of Slack - http://tettra.co Might help to clarify some of those "who owns what" questions by putting them into a wiki that everyone at YC has access to via Slack. We're working on a bot to automate the updating of content too. I'm sure you already have something internally for a wiki at YC but thought I'd post her…

  17. Andy from Tettra here with some shameless self promotion: My startup is actually working on this exact problem: https://tettra.co Our philosophy is that knowledge should be fast to capture, accessible from your communication tools (Slack, etc) and open by default for everyone on your team to suggest edits because most knowledge goes stale in other systems. Would love feedback from the HN community. We're documentati…

  19. I live in the Boston metro. There’s a place called Boda Borg that is sort of like Escape the Room, but much more fun in my opinion. There’s about 30 puzzles, and each one has three rooms. You can buy two hours or unlimited time. Once you solve each room, you are able to go to the next. If you get it wrong or run out of time after about 4 minutes, you just get a buzzer, leave, wait in line and do it all over again. W…
