HN discussionNot sure about the DNS part, but NetworkPolicies should be familiar to anyone who takes Kubernetes seriously. https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/services-networking/netw... Edit: Did some research and found that Calico has a feature for some kind of DNS filtering https://www.tigera.io/blog/how-to-secure-kubernetes-workload...

HN discussionThe big news here is at CoreOS Fest Berlin they announced that Calico and Flannel were combining projects to create Canal. The Canal project will be managed by a company called Tigera https://www.tigera.io/ Sorry, still probably early on the github page for Canal (Tigera). I'll see if I can find the slides online from the presentation today.

HN discussionThis is a complex task, and I want to avoid blatant self-promotion, but there are solutions that people are building which allows you to give a degree of freedom to your agents but also lock them down as well. Our company has a product which is just one such example. At this point it's really geared towards orgs running agents in a cluster to handle tasks, rather than e.g. making sure your claude code doesn't post y…

HN discussionWell, if you've set it up then you're aware that you need conntrack; Conntrack is not always your friend, and even when it is: it's adding a lot of overhead. https://www.tigera.io/blog/when-linux-conntrack-is-no-longer...

HN discussionCalico CNI notably has beta support for VPP, including the userland memif interface if you really really really need speed. https://www.tigera.io/blog/high-throughput-kubernetes-cluste... https://docs.tigera.io/calico/latest/getting-started/kuberne... With memif especially, it's fast as heck. But you need to rebuild your apps to target memif. There's some pretty good drop in stdlib replacements for languages like Go…
