What Hacker News says?
> Regarding stolen accounts A good number of these sites sell accounts, not keys. You buy an access to an account that you log in to, with the key enabled on it. Again, best case it’s a region swapped key between 5 people and g2a get paid and the devs get nothing. Worst case it’s a stolen credit card purchasing a single key. > I would think that the credit card owner would dispute the charge and steam would deactiva…

HN discussionI can't recommend using G2A on any level. While there may be some reputable "grey market" sellers that take advantage of pricing in different regions etc, g2a seem to be far shadier [0]. (specifically the keys are being bought with stolen credit cards, and the original seller gets hit with chargebacks) [0] - http://tinybuild.com/g2a-sold-450k-worth-of-our-game-keys

HN discussion> As of windows 7, the license is quite literally tied to the hardware. Dates back to at least XP with Windows. The string that was checked in XP was very simple and later versions were digital certificates. Windows 10 OEM (started with 8 iirc) use per machine fingerprinting and have individual keys. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_Locked_Pre-installation System builder licences are fairly cheap but the EULA fo…
