What Hacker News says?

  1. The issue with IPNS is it's based off of public private key crypto which means the "domain" is a hash and has no name recognition. While still useful, it's not going to make its way into the mainstream anytime soon. For instance, I host my personal site on both IPFS and normal web traffic. https://fn.lc/ipns/Qmea45XwFtdwaCGAPLRMxFmoUP5YLnknc2WGCGQ3H... https://gateway.ipfs.io/ipns/Qmea45XwFtdwaCGAPLRMxFmoUP5YLnk...

  3. There's definitely use cases for Docker with Go that mostly revolve around running untrusted code or wanting to be able to set tight restrictions on CPU usage, memory etc. Though you could also just do the latter via cgroups. Another use case might be if you have extra files that need to be deployed with the binary as well. I wrote up some documentation about this for my use case just in case I ever have to go back…

  7. The issue with just sharing the /ipfs/ version instead of /ipns/ is that I can no longer update the site and I just made a small edit to clarify some stuff so that link is already out of date. As an alternative, I'd recommend either my website: https://fn.lc/post/dropbike/ or the cloudflare AMP cache https://fn-lc.amp.cloudflare.com/c/s/fn.lc/post/dropbike/

  9. You can also access it via the normal website: https://fn.lc/post/dropbike/ (or via AMP cache: https://fn-lc.amp.cloudflare.com/c/s/fn.lc/post/dropbike/ ) I've had IPFS support on my website for a while now and figured since one of the top HN posts was about porting a blog to IPFS I'd share the IPFS link.

  15. I want to say I've heard references of Tesla vehicles having "factory Summon", but I haven't had it confirmed outside of one person's hacking around[1]. References to a "virtual conveyor belt" basically. https://fn.lc/post/tesla-model-3-modes/
