Too few sampled comments (6) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
Linked on HN for posts about building a Lisp interpreter in Swift and for Swift on ARM and Raspberry Pi support. Commenters mostly cite or link them as references rather than judging them.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 6 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

HN discussionNice post... even if before clicking through I expected a post about why asking "build me a lisp" could have been a good interview question :) As a side note, I wrote a similar post in Swift: https://www.uraimo.com/2017/02/05/building-a-lisp-from-scrat...

HN discussionAuthor here, no, it doesn't support TCO and you'd have to resort to trampolining here too. In another post[1] I've talked about this and I agree it's definitely not an elegant workaround. [1] https://www.uraimo.com/2016/05/05/recursive-tail-calls-and-t...

HN discussionSo does this mean Swift 4 should work on the Raspberry Pi? I know people had Swift 3 working, but last I heard there were some bugs holding back Swift 4 from ARM. Edit: Thinking of the two issues listed at the bottom here https://www.uraimo.com/2017/09/06/A-small-update-on-Swift-fo... . Digging deeper it looks like there hasn't been a successful ARMv7 build yet ( https://ci-external.swift.org/view/all/ ).
