Why HN links it
Linked in a comment on Japan Post's digital address system, for a post on the most minimal UK address, which notes that UK postcodes let addresses be shortened to 10 characters or less.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 1 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

What Hacker News says?
funnily something similar exists in the UK since the post-WWII postcode change. Addresses can be "minimised" to 10 characters, or less. Obviously there's no way to change the real destination once something has been sent https://vlad.website/most-minimal-uk-address/
