HN discussionOh, I see, thanks. I did figure out that thead automatically repeats across pages, but I also had to repeat other stuff outside the table, like letterhead. I also made this sample file that shows thead repeating, but since it's a single continuous table it doesn't preview very well and spills out of the 8.5x11 article element. HN discussionI've been a Purelymail customer since July 2021. For the most part I have been very satisfied. However, in July 2024 I sent an email to Scott for support because I have been getting too much spam. He said that the spamassassin auto-learning filter was broken and he was working on a replacement. In the time since then, I think maybe it is doing a little better, but I still get quite a lot of spam. But for $0.40/month…

HN discussionI avoid installers and prefer portable releases 100% of the time. Sometimes, you can extract an installer like a zip and it still works. Other times, I suffer through the install process once and then zip up the resulting folder to get my own portable for next time. I think it's crazy how even the simplest of programs today want to run installers. I wrote more about it here: https://voussoir.net/writing/master_of_my…

HN discussionI modified an open source GPX recording app called Trackbook to turn it into a 24/7 recorder, and I wrote about it here: https://voussoir.net/writing/obsessed_with_gpx I have a few recent commits in my repository that I haven't put into a versioned APK yet though. The output GPX files can be viewed on the PC with JOSM: https://josm.openstreetmap.de/
