Voyage is a personal blog at seelengrab.github.io about programming and hardware. Since 2022, 4 different Hacker News readers have linked it 4 times, most often “Running Julia bare-metal on an Arduino”. The last post was in 2024, but the archive is still widely read.
Too few sampled comments (1) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
Linked in a Julia and Mojo Mandelbrot benchmark thread. The blog covers Julia, and the comment points to Julia tooling for compiling small binaries without the runtime.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 1 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

What Hacker News says?
If anyone is interested in compiling small binaries with Julia do check out staticcompiler.jl and supporting statictools.jl that manages to produce small binaries without the Julia runtime , Ofcourse it's a wip , and not fully mature , I'm just putting it out there for people to know. There's some really cool demonstrations come out of this ... Wasm fluid simulation in Julia: https://alexander-barth.github.io/FluidS…
