Why HN links it
The blog covers odd myths and facts, such as the claim that Apollo astronauts floated away because of heavy boots. Commenters trace where the myth and its quiz-based origin story came from.

What Hacker News says?
On a few sites, a commenter known as "Russ Brown" claims he posted the original on usenet, referring to a class he took in 1981. He claims that the quiz results were added to his version of events. http://www.openeducation.net/2009/05/07/how-were-apollo-astr... http://worldofweirdthings.com/2009/04/27/a-gravity-fail-goes... HN discussionThis is quite epic for quantum mechanics. Prior to this, something 30 micrometers was usually considered unbelievably massive to apply quantum principles to. Dare I say I smell quantum-mechanic mechanical experiments soon? How about gears that rotate and don't? I also wonder if this could be the basis for a relatively easy way to make a quantum computer. edit: another article [1] and the data's original article [2]…
