Xavi Esteve's personal blog at xaviesteve.com covers programming and productivity. Since 2011, 4 different Hacker News readers have linked it 4 times. It is still writing: the last post was on 2026-10-07, and you can follow it by feed.
Too few sampled comments (2) to say how often HN recommends it.?
Why HN links it
HN readers link this site for small web tools: a weather display page for an old iPad 1 and an alternative Pocket bookmarklet for when the official one fails. The comments cite the tools, not the writing.
Summarised by Claude from a sample of 2 HN comments that link here. Each comment is marked recommending, critical or neutral (citing without judging); how this works.

What Hacker News says?
I have this for an old iPad 1 https://xaviesteve.com/pro/weather/ It tells the weather forecast and time for the next few days and at night it goes into 'dark mode' which is nice, have it in a corner in my living room. Edit: forgot to mention that if you use it, remember to do the 'Add to Homescreen' so it displays in full screen.
