What Hacker News says?
suppression of the hunter biden story was the clearest one. (let me know if you need details or citations on the NY Post article & account being banned by twitter before the election). Also Alex Berenson's lawsuit with Twitter revealed that public officials leaned on twitter to suppress his voice. I think these emails are revealing on the 'coziness' between the current administration and twitter policy team. https:/…

HN discussionYou’re right - I’m anti-vaxx when it comes to mRNA vaccines and I often link to mainstream articles like this: https://www.yahoo.com/news/analysis-thousands-more-usual-dyi... Mainstream articles are biased with the spin of the situation but the facts are there. It goes over some causes of deaths - mostly heart/clotting issues, exactly what you’d expect from the vaxx. That’s why we call it the “clot-shot” In England…

HN discussioni've seen some claims that the latest UK data shows negative effectiveness for the vaccine for COVID infection. This is possibly due to Omnicron or due to population differences between the vaccinated/unvaccinated. Also, it is very important to note that even though the data seems to show negative effectiveness for infection the vaccines still show positive effectiveness for hospitalisation and mortality. I tried to…

HN discussionAccording to this substack[1], it was a pilot walkout/"sickout" due to vaccine mandates. It's actually happening in more companies/industries than widely reported. I imagine it's also picked up steam since last weeks revelation from leaked internal Pfizer emails[2] that they used cells from aborted fetuses while testing the RDNA vaccine (testing - it's not in the vaccine), but have publicly stated otherwise. It was…

HN discussionA lawsuit was filed friday -- https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.txnd.35... It's also illegal to do a walkout, so they did a "sick out" https://alexberenson.substack.com/p/urgent-a-southwest-airli...

HN discussionI think that's because it's technically illegal to do a walkout... https://alexberenson.substack.com/p/urgent-a-southwest-airli... In reality, a lot of pilots can just message each other on the side and say "f-it". Idk how many it takes to take down the system, but I suspect even 20% out sick could cause a cascading failure.

HN discussionIf you don't read his blog then you probably shouldn't make claims about what he does or doesn't say in it, nor about the scientific literacy of his readers (much higher than average - they will happily peer review studies he posts and highlight in the comments when he's misinterpreted them or when the study is bad). So sure, he has responded to the Atlantic directly, many times. The Atlantic on why Berenson was wro…

HN discussionBerenson responds to that laughable description all the time. He loves nothing more than to call himself that when he gets proven right - again - often at the expense of writers in the Atlantic; I'd guess a quarter of his posts consist of "ha ha" type responses where he juxtaposes a tweet he made early in the pandemic alongside a government announcement or newly released scientific paper saying the same thing. https…

HN discussionThe moment you go down that road, every academic epidemiologist and COVID expert will immediately be prosecuted because they have repeatedly made claims that were totally false and which have led directly to many deaths. For example, the claim that lockdowns work (they don't and this was known before COVID times), has led directly to people dying due to delayed medical treatment. Poverty also kills of course and the…

HN discussionThis is a reference to this post: https://alexberenson.substack.com/p/vaccinated-english-adult... I had a discussion about it at work because my teammate is vocal about the alleged harm that vaccines cause and is no stranger to confirmation bias. Shame that they lumped so many people into the same group, because if you look closer at the data for e.g. England: https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/vaccinations?are…
