What Hacker News says?
Over the past year, it has been quite an experience to see the entrepreneurial community in Atlanta band together and do great things like ASW2, Startup Riot, Startup Gauntlet and ATL Show and Tell just to name a few. ATL is no Bay Area but it isn't "hosed" either, pg's opinions not withstanding :) [See Atlanta can compete: http://blog.weatherby.net/2007/10/atlanta-can-com.html ] In addition to the 100+ people who p…

HN discussionMine is going to be based on the "Wages of Wins"-emphasized stats of FG%, FT Attempts, Turnovers, and Offensive Rebounds. HN discussion> Imagine being able to have a real time discussion in a classroom/stadium/concert hall that's completely anonymous. Most programming conferences have some kind of "backchannel", such as BackNoise(.com), that is just what you describe. And the results are not always pretty: http://blog.weatherby.net/2009/09/dont-blame-backnoise-atlan...

HN discussionI reached out to the primary author. He was not aware that it was online. While the paper has some factual errors and conclusions (I do not think that anyone within the Atlanta technology community would call it "rich in venture capital" as an example) I do think that the conclusion that Atlanta's tech sector lacks social structure is dead on. I wrote an article for the local paper to this effect last month: http://…

HN discussionNeed a descriptive catchphrase under your logo. I like how you have lots of whitespace but it feels empty, need to add more content, especially on the right side. It's not immediately apparent how your app is different from a blog... And I agree that you should choose a single brand for your site, either Glogger or PeerViewr.
