NeoChat does work on Plasma Mobile but it is still missing a few features to be production ready. https://carlschwan.eu/2020/12/23/announcing-neochat-1.0-the-... I'm currently working on encryption support in the base library: https://github.com/quotient-im/libQuotient/pull/443 and once this is done the other big missing feature are notifications.

HN discussionI use Mastodon for comments on one of my sites using a slightly modified version of the code featured here: https://carlschwan.eu/2020/12/29/adding-comments-to-your-sta... As the site is focused on a single topic, I almost always tag a related Lemmy community in the Mastodon post, so it gets comments from there too. Federation is cool.

HN discussionI haven't tried them on my own blog yet, but on blogs I read, both the Bluesky comments you linked and this mastodon comment system: https://carlschwan.eu/2020/12/29/adding-comments-to-your-sta... have been pleasant.

HN discussionI did this for the KDE wikis {userbase,techbase,community}.kde.org, this was a lot harder than I first thought, because of the amount of user contributed content with white background, hardcoded color in the text. I wrote about it here: https://carlschwan.eu/2019/07/12/new-userbase.html

HN discussionYes, in KDE we also moved most of our websites to static website generators to Jekyll or Hugo. From the more than 20 websites only a few are still using Drupal 7 or a custom php framework. The last one and biggest website to be migrated https://kde.org was a big challenge because it is an 20 years old websites with thousands of pages and translations. But my efforts are finally paying off and we saw an increase of 3…
