The pricing page [1] is linked further down, and from the sitemap at the bottom of the page. You have a point they should have made it more obvious though. https://usefathom.com/pricing

HN discussionAnd when people want analytics they often just really want headline numbers that do not require user tracking. E.g. I've started using Fathom [1]. It's very basic, but for the sites I use it on all I really want to know is if traffic is going up or down or if any specific pages are suddenly getting lots of traffic. [1] https://usefathom.com

HN discussionWe've been working on something that has yet to be added to this list, but I feel it's worth mentioning. It's a self-hosted OS alternative to Google Analytics, much like Matomo (formerly Piwik) but less focused on developers and way more opinionated in terms of what data is visualized. It's called Fathom Analytics[1]. Eventually we want to provide a paid hosted option much like what Ghost is offering to make sure we…

HN discussionI am using fathom [1] for this. They allow hosting the backend yourself and your analytics are not publicly accessible. Biggest con is that each installation can only track one domain as of now. [1]: https://usefathom.com

HN discussionYes, it is! Ask Jack Ellis at Fathom Analytics, they're doing this for their customers: https://usefathom.com/blog/bypass-adblockers -- and I think they have a new blog post and video coming out soon about it. Feel free to post in our forums with questions! https://caddy.community

HN discussionInteresting take. For every star we had on GitHub we did 21 cents in monthly revenue for (around $1300). We needed to turn Fathom into a viable competitor to Google Analytics. We can't do that if we are working a few hours a week on it, we needed to be full time. Here's a comparison I've always looked at. HN discussionAbsolutely. We recommend custom domains ( https://usefathom.com/support/custom-domains ) but you could proxy through to the collector, no problem. It’s a great way of doing it

HN discussionThere’s a huge shift happening. People are realizing that Google Analytics isn’t “free”. You’re sending data to a company that has a huge amount of privacy scandals. We have lots of agencies who use us, and their clients may differ from yours, but here’s what’s helped them: https://usefathom.com/blog/switch

HN discussionThanks for all the kind words about https://usefathom.com . We’ve been in business since 2018 and both founders now work full time on it. We’re fully bootstrapped, actively rejecting millions of dollars in venture capital, and we are sustainable. That is the key. We are priced fairly, and at a level that allows us to ensure the longevity of our business. We are used by governments, small businesses, multi billion do…
