Why HN links it
HN readers link Harmonic's news posts on its AI system Aristotle, covering formal verification, math results such as Erdős problems, and its IMO gold medal and Putnam performance.

What Hacker News says?
I'm Tudor, CEO of Harmonic. We're huge believers in formal verification, and started Harmonic in 2023 to make this technology mainstream. We built a system that achieved gold medal performance at 2025 IMO ( https://harmonic.fun/news ), and recently opened a public API that got 10/12 problems on this year's Putnam exam ( https://aristotle.harmonic.fun/ ). If you also think this is the future of programming and are in…

HN discussionThen you apply LLMs in domains where things can be checked Indeed I expect to see a huge push into formally verified software just because sound mathematical proofs provide an excellent verifier to put into a LLM hardness. Just see how Aristotle has been successful at math, and it could be applied to coding too Maybe Lean will become the new Python https://harmonic.fun/news#blog-post-verina-bench-sota

HN discussionWe are! We very recently announced some results on formally proving the correctness of programs: https://harmonic.fun/news#blog-post-verina-bench-sota Formal methods are cool because, by contrast to tools like the borrow checker, you can prove some very "nonlocal" properties: this system does not deadlock, or it makes progress at least every N steps, etc.
