  7. > Apple will actually require all developers to have a privacy policy by October 3rd. A year and a half after their more privacy-conscious competition but good progress: https://www.iubenda.com/blog/privacy-policy-for-android-app/... > And having developers post a bond is logistically impossible to implement. 9. Looking at the privacy policy[0], the app does send some information to backend servers, specifically "flight related information." If the employees' "flight related information" is not publicly available, I can see AA having a legitimate issue with it. But the scraping does appear to happen on-device, and it claims the password is not transmitted, so that's better than I initially thought. [0] https://www.iubenda.c…

  17. I work for iubenda ( https://www.iubenda.com/ ) and it's a precious tool for website compliance. I was a user myself before joining the team. You can get: Privacy Policy/T&C/Cookie and Consent Banner as well as a Consent Database tool. The onboarding starts with a scan of your website, and you are suggested to use specific configurations based on the legislation that will apply to your website. Moreover, iubenda sca…

  23. Sure? https://www.iubenda.com/en/help/23672-gdpr-cookie-consent-ch... I would claim the only way to make a webapp with login securely function in a usable manner is to use a session cookie with secure transport policy. Do you really need more than that?

  25. Heads up: it looks like the company behind this (Chec) collects and stores a significant amount of data from the usage of the Commerce.js SDK featured here; including customer name, email address, phone number, IP address, device fingerprint and transactions. The privacy policy isn't particularly clear about how this is used, but it's very permissive and vague. It also states that this collection is "mandatory." In…
