What Hacker News says?
this makes sense and as usual great eye by Simon. progressive disclosure is such a powerful concept, that every other tool is going to start adopting it. we've personally had such great results adopting it, especially for performing high quality large migrations. I wrote about this but I'm certain that eventually commands, MCPs etc will fade out when skills is understood and picked up by everyone https://kau.sh/blog…

HN discussionhere's a similar implementation for Bluesky that I whipped up sometime back. https://kau.sh/blog/bluesky-comments-for-hugo/ I like my implementation cause it blends really well with the blog making it looks almost native. transferring the burden of maintenance - curation to a social media platform (and a slightly more open one to boot) has been a complete win.

HN discussionThere's truth to a lot of what's said in this post and I see many people complain but these opinions feel short sighted (not meant derogatorily - just that these are shorter term problems). > Teams that care about quality will take the time to review and understand (and more often than not, rework) LLM-generated code before it makes it into the repo. This slows things down, to the extent that any time saved using th…

HN discussion> The initial init makes some CHARM.md Oh god please no... can we please just agree on a standard for a well-known single agent instructions file, like AGENT.md [1] perhaps (and yes, this is the standard being shilled by Amp for their CLI tool, I appreciate the irony there). Otherwise we rely on hacks like this [2] [1] https://ampcode.com/AGENT.md [2] https://kau.sh/blog/agents-md/

HN discussionI wrote an article (this morning actually!) on picking up Rust to combat AI brain atrophy. My background is JVM-based (Kotlin), and my main contenders were Go vs Rust vs Zig. My reasoning for settling on Rust: If I wanted something more general-purpose and ergonomic, I'd stick with something like Kotlin, which has wider ecosystem support. Go could fit here too, but I've heard from more experienced folks that Go's si…

HN discussionI recently wrote a post on a way we can [reclaim em dashes back]( https://kau.sh/blog/reclaim-dash-lowercase-from-ai/ ). The key to do it without the LLM stigma is surrounding it with spaces which still doesn't violate typical writing rules.

HN discussioni feel your pain my friend. i really do. i don't have your skills of actually customizing or changing glyphs in fonts directly but i've customized and used scripts to fix glyph characters available as open type features. I've done this for fonts like: - [Iosevka]( https://kau.sh/blog/build-iosevka-font-mac-os/ ) - [IBM Plex Mono]( https://kau.sh/blog/freeze-alt-char-open-type-font/ ) - [Jetbrains Mono]( https://gith…

HN discussionNot sure how you would define successful though. I built a Firefox addon almost entirely through vibe coding and I know at least 5 other random souls on the Internet who have used and thanked me for it. But it is by now stretch popular it makes money if those are the measures. I was trying to test the theory if it's even possible to release something production grade with vibe coding. Wrote about the experience here…
