Why HN links it

HN readers link this personal blog for a 2022 post on writing math with Hugo. The only comment points to that post for more details and says client-side rendering works fine for a simple blog.

What Hacker News says?

  1. https://misha.brukman.net Most posts are about tech topics (solving a problem I ran into that I figured might also be of interest to others). Also some about typography, languages, etc.

  3. Sure, there's certainly interest in doing this. See this post for more details: https://misha.brukman.net/blog/2022/04/writing-math-with-hug... (I'm not the author of this post) Client-side rendering works well enough for me, and has been for years (as a visitor). I don't see a benefit to integrate a custom Hugo patch to get server-side rendering for my simple personal blog.

  5. Blog post author here. It's easy to get a blog going with either GitHub or GitLab plus their "Pages" hosting environment, or Netlify. Here's how you can do this with just GitHub Pages or GitLab Pages: * https://pages.github.com/ * https://docs.gitlab.com/ce/user/project/pages/ Here's how I originally hosted my blog with Gitlab Pages using Hugo (a static site generator): https://misha.brukman.net/blog/2019/05/buildin…
