What Hacker News says?
I love adding random stuff to my personal website. It might not matter to anyone else, but I love doing it for the sake of doing it. i.e., programming not as a means for an end. Recently, I added a dynamic chart that shows how frequently and how much I work on my website, similar to the GitHub contribution chart. Not the kind of features the author was mentioning, but fun regardless: https://navendu.me/about/#about-…

HN discussionAs others have mentioned, unless you have a strong conscience and really know what you're doing, it's far too tempting to just accept AI-generated suggestions without really thinking, and IMHO losing that understanding is a dangerous path to go down. AI can only increase quantity, not quality. The industry desperately needs far more of the latter. Related: https://navendu.me/posts/ai-generated-spam-prs/

HN discussion> But the business benefits that it brings aren't coming from Rust. They are coming from the fact that it's a modern architecture. This is moving the goalposts. HN discussionThat sounds like a great project :) but 1. "Pingora is Not an Nginx Replacement" https://navendu.me/posts/pingora/ 2. you still put it behind ha-proxy https://github.com/cloudflare/pingora/issues/132 3. https://github.com/cloudflare/pingora says "Pingora keeps a rolling MSRV (minimum supported Rust version) policy of 6 months." so for anyone who dislikes the "constant upgrade treadmill", this won't help much. So my…

HN discussionIt is perfectly fine if the code actually works. At least for now, getting the exact code you want from an AI is a legit skill. This was pure spam. I wrote more about what actually happened here: https://navendu.me/posts/ai-generated-spam-prs/ It can help set some context to the discussions.
