I'm a fan of Kailash Nadh's projects[1] and blog[2]. The CTO of such a large company takes his time to make little projects for fun and OSS, says a lot about how good the company's dev culture is. I also find it amusingly wholesome that his GitHub about says "Hobbyist Developer" before "CTO @Zerodha". He also volunteers at 2 Indian non-profits. What an amazing person! 1: https://github.com/knadh 2: https://nadh.in

  5. > I hope Kagi succeeds. But personally, I think the web is dead. And no search engine can save it. I concur. Maybe now is the time to seriously think about alternate visions for "search". I have been toying with an idea[1] along those lines myself out of sheer annoyance at the state of WWW and web "search" in general. [1] https://nadh.in/blog/decentralised-open-indexes/

  7. Metaphone [1] addresses a lot of issues Soundex has. While Soundex is aimed specifically at names, Metaphone works for all English words. PS: Inspired by Metaphone, I wrote MLphone [2] a phonetic lib for the Malayalam (South India) language. The phonetic keys the algorithm produces are Roman characters though. 11. The motivating blog post[1] linked from the front page is probably going to generate a more interesting discussion than the framework itself. As someone who has to deal with both angular and nextjs for different (but overlapping) stacks at work, I find myself increasingly sympathetic to this viewpoint.
