What Hacker News says?

  1. That's exactly why we built Svix[1]. Building webhooks services, even with amazing tools like FastAPI, Celery and Redis is still a big pain. So we just built a product to solve it. Hatchet looks cool nonetheless. Queues are a pain for many other use-cases too. 1: https://www.svix.com

  3. These reasons are exactly why we started Svix[1] (we do webhooks as a service). I wish we existed to serve you guys back when you started working on it. :) [1] https://www.svix.com

  9. Shameless plug: we make it super easy for companies to send webhooks. https://www.svix.com There are only 3 companies on webhooks.fyi's list with 3 green checks, and we're powering webhooks for one of those. :)

  11. We built Svix[1] exactly for this reason. We make it super easy for companies to send webhooks reliably. There are only three companies with a "perfect score" on webhooks.fyi's list, we power one of them. ;) [1] https://www.svix.com

  15. This is something I thought about a lot before switching to Rust at Svix[0]. What I came to realize though, that there are no "casts to any and move on", but rather there are silencing real bugs and praying you won't hit them. Almost every time I've ever tried to silence the type checker (in any other language) it resulted in a bug. Does it make you slower? Definitely at times, but it's mostly OK, and the code is pr…

  27. You don't need a queue to protect from Svix downtime. It can be as simple as logging failures to svix (when they happen), and replaying these events. Though as I said elsewhere, this scenario is something you'd need to deal with Twilio and SendGrid too. As for what this service does that is not basically a curl loop with an error check: see the rest of the comments. People chimed him from their experience better tha…
